How do I know if I am pregnant?
The most common symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. However, pregnancy symptoms are different for everyone and some women might not even experience any symptoms. Some additional symptoms could include:
- Aversion to certain foods
- Bloating and cramping
- Breast tenderness
- Darkened nipples
- Frequent urination
- Increased tiredness
- Irregular mood swings
- Nausea throughout the day
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms and have missed your period then you could be pregnant. However, the only way to be certain is to take a pregnancy test. Our Center provides medical grade on-site tests at no cost, which also checks the hormone hCG that is produced by the embryo during pregnancy.
When should I get an ultrasound exam?
We recommend getting an ultrasound exam shortly after receiving a positive pregnancy test. An ultrasound exam is essential to learn several important things about a pregnancy, including gestational age and the viability of the pregnancy. Our center provides free limited OB ultrasounds with a positive pregnancy test.
I have already had an abortion. Does the center offer any services for me?
You are not alone. Our center offers confidential, compassionate support designed to help women and men begin a healing process from a past abortion in their lives. We have both one-on-one appointments, as well as group sessions that are offered free of charge. Please contact us to schedule your appointment. All calls and appointments are confidential.
