EVERY CHILD A WANTED CHILD. YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO SAVE YOURS.

Have you ever wondered what the slogan “Every Child a Wanted Child” really means? It’s a phrase often associated with Planned Parenthood, but its real meaning might surprise you. As it is read, it sounds like a call for every child to be cherished and desired. However, after completing research, it becomes clear that the message leans towards encouraging people to end a pregnancy if they feel unprepared or unwilling to parent. In other words, it misleadingly suggests that if you don’t want the child, don’t have the child.
As you come to understand the true meaning of the phrase, it seems contradictory. Shouldn’t “Every Child a Wanted Child” imply that every child deserves to be loved and embraced, regardless of circumstance? As human beings, we all long to be wanted, to be chosen, and to be cared for. It’s engraved into who we are. Maybe as you read this, you’re feeling that deep desire for connection and love—and that’s completely natural.
But then the question arises: if we long to be chosen and cared for, why does society portray the idea that it’s okay for a child not to be chosen? Isn’t it true that just like us, babies also long to be loved? When a child is denied the opportunity to be chosen, they no longer have the chance to experience the very thing we all seek—being wanted and valued.

Am I Equipped to Have a Child?
Now let’s talk about why Planned Parenthood suggests that you shouldn’t keep the baby. Is it because you’re struggling financially? Maybe you feel too young or unprepared? Are your friends telling you that your life will be over once you have a child? Or do you think the way the child came into your life was a mistake? There are probably a couple other reasons as to why society would say you shouldn’t keep your child, and you’re most likely leaning towards those views as well. But do not give up just yet, there are resources present, and successful stories of girls just like you who decided to not listen to everyone else and chose to keep their child.
Before we dive into the resources, I want you to think back to when you were a little girl. At that age maybe you played house and imagined yourself as the nurturing mother or responsible older sister. You took care of the baby with your whole heart and made sure they were fed, clean, well-rested, and had enough playtime to stay stimulated. You cared for that baby like it was your own. Sometimes that baby was a doll but other times it could’ve been your sibling or a friend and you pretended they were your child.
Now, look at your current circumstance. You may feel unsure about having what it takes but remember back to who you were as a child. Deep down, you have the instincts of a nurturing mother. They’ve always been there.
Now maybe finances are a concern, or perhaps you don’t have a job, you’re too young to work, or you don’t have a great support system to leave your child with and work. These are some challenging situations, but they’re also solvable. There are free services designed to help young girls and single moms thrive.

Free Medical and Pregnancy Care Resources
According to a 2022 report by the Lozier Institute and Susan B. Anthony List, nearly 2,750 pregnancy centers in the United States provided over $350 million in pregnancy care, material support, and healthcare contributions to single mothers and families nationwide. At the time, these centers served over 975,000 new clients, with that number continuing to grow. These pregnancy centers and medical clinics have offered families with FREE resources such as ultrasounds, parenting education programs, diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, and other forms of support. This supportive care has countered the claim that no care is provided to mothers and children after birth.

An ultrasound will be done as soon as possible to confirm fetal heart rate, placement, and dating of the pregnancy. The doctor or another medical provider will prescribe progesterone, given as a pill to be taken orally or vaginally or possibly by intramuscular injection. The treatment will usually continue through the first trimester of pregnancy.
The abortion pill reversal (APR) may be able to reverse its effects by providing an influx of progesterone, but time is of the essence. It is best to start the reversal treatment within the first 24-72 hours of taking the abortion pill.* Initial studies of APR have shown it has a 64-68% success rate.
