When you’re facing an unexpected pregnancy, the last thing you should have to worry about is how much help is going to cost. At Options for Women in Lakeland, we believe that every woman deserves access to care, support, and answers—regardless of her ability to pay.
That’s why we provide all of our services completely free of charge—from lab-quality pregnancy testing and ultrasounds to STD testing, pre-termination assessments, emotional support, and post-abortion counseling. But how is this possible?
Funded by Generosity, Driven by Compassion
The answer is simple: Options for Women is a nonprofit organization, made possible by the generosity of individuals, families, and community partners in the Lakeland and Bartow areas. These donors give because they care. Many have walked in the same shoes and want women today to have access to the kind of help and hope they wish they had.
These donations—large and small—go directly toward providing professional, confidential, and medically accurate services to every woman who walks through our doors. Every free pregnancy test, every pregnancy ultrasound, and every counseling session is funded by people who believe in you and your right to receive support, not pressure.
You Don’t Need Insurance to Be Heard
We understand that many women who come to us are uninsured, underinsured, or simply unsure of where to turn. Going to a hospital or private doctor’s office can be expensive, even just for a consultation. That’s why we aim to be your best first step—a place where you can talk to medical professionals, get answers, and understand your pregnancy options without worrying about the bill.
At Options for Women, you’ll never be asked for payment or proof of income. You’ll never face judgment or pressure. Instead, you’ll find a supportive team that offers accurate information, emotional support, and practical help—all in one place.

Pregnancy confirmation through limited obstetric ultrasounds
STD screening and education to support your sexual health
Pre-termination exams that help you understand your health before making a decision
Options counseling for parenting, adoption, and abortion information
Post-abortion support using the Surrendering the Secret curriculum
Wellness referrals and community resources for ongoing care*
And we offer these services not only in Lakeland, but in Bartow, Florida, as well—so more women have access to the help they need.
*Wellness referrals are only 100% free if patient does not have any type of health insurance or Medicaid
